The Architecture–Engineering dual degree programme trains professionals capable of thinking and designing projects as a whole, by combining architectural design and construction engineering approaches.
This excellence pathway addresses the environmental, technical, and societal challenges associated with the sustainable transformation of the built environment.
The programme is delivered over seven years, alternating between partner institutions. It includes:
Fundamental courses in architecture and engineering
Cross-disciplinary design projects and collaborative workshops
Joint ESTP / ENSA seminars
Internships in architecture firms, engineering consultancies, or construction companies
A jointly supervised final-year project
The timetable is coordinated to meet the academic requirements of both degrees within an integrated pathway.

An outstanding double degree: a unique pathway combining two complementary areas of expertise.
A multidisciplinary approach: a cross-disciplinary vision of design professions for a comprehensive understanding of construction projects.
Innovation and sustainability: a high-level scientific foundation combined with a strong focus on innovation and sustainable development challenges.
Training professionals capable of designing, managing, and optimising sustainable and innovative construction projects.
Design architectural projects while ensuring the technical sizing and performance of structures.
Ensure overall management of construction projects, from design to delivery.
Lead projects incorporating ambitious and sustainable environmental objectives.
Master digital tools used in the sector: BIM, digital modelling, and simulation
Integrate standards, regulations, and innovations to anticipate changes in the construction sector.

Applications are submitted via Parcoursup by applying to the Architecture–Engineering Dual Degree at ESA or ENSA Paris–La Villette.
Application review + interview.
Bachelor’s and Master’s internships according to the architecture schools’ requirements, and a “site manager” internship via ESTP in Year 6.
The two degrees—ESTP’s CTI-accredited engineering degree and the State-recognised architecture degree—are awarded according to each institution’s specific validation criteria. Assessment is based on continuous evaluation, design projects, final examinations, oral defences, and the final-year project. A TOEIC score of at least 785 is required for the engineering degree. A joint final project defence may be organised to highlight the complementary contributions of the dual curriculum.
A mandatory international mobility period of one semester is required. It may take place in Year 2 or 3 through an academic exchange, or in Year 3 through a double degree or final-year internship.
Because funding should never be a barrier to ambition, ESTP offers personalized support and a wide range of solutions accessible to all profiles. Scholarships for academic excellence, assistance from the ESTP Foundation, public programs (CROUS, Erasmus+), partnerships with companies or banks, paid internships, work-study programs, assignments through the Junior Enterprise… everything is done to enable everyone to build their career path with confidence. Our goal: to give you the means to move forward with peace of mind, from the first day of your training to your entry into the workforce.
This programme provides access to careers such as:
Architect–Engineer
Design–Build Project Manager
Multi-disciplinary Project Supervisor
Innovation Manager in architecture firms or construction companies
Sustainable Design / BIM Consultant
Urban Planner / Multidisciplinary Development Specialist
