At Graduate School of Engineering in the built environment, student life is not limited to classes. The school is fully committed to offering each student a rich, personalised, and open learning environment, where academic journeys are built well beyond coursework.
At ESTP, every student is encouraged to build a personalised career path. In addition to compulsory internships (worker, company, and final-year project), students can join the Junior ESTP to carry out paid assignments (market studies, modelling, diagnostics, etc.). The school also supports individual or collective projects with humanitarian, entrepreneurial, or professional goals, under the guidance of dedicated mentors.
Professional student associations play a key role in connecting students with the industry. Through site visits, career talks, entrepreneurial projects, and initiatives linked to ecological transition, they enable students to strengthen their skills and build their network.
ESTP actively supports student initiatives through dedicated statuses (student assistants, project leaders, etc.). Students also participate in competitions and research programmes: in 2024, several joined the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme on 3D concrete printing in Orléans.
The school is strongly committed to gender equality, notably through its partnership with the Elles bougent association.
Mandatory for certain admission profiles (AST, TSI, ENSEA, bachelor’s), the TECE – Together on the Road to Excellence scheme reinforces core skills in mathematics (analysis, algebra, etc.). Supervised by teachers and engineering students, this module effectively prepares learners for the demands of the engineering cycle, with regular monitoring and project-based learning.
Career forums, job datings, networking events, iconic site visits… Throughout the year, major events foster professional networking and employability.
At ESTP, international experience begins on campus, where over 60 nationalities meet each year. So many cultures, languages, and perspectives—an invaluable opportunity to learn, grow, and open up to the world.
Every engineering student completes at least one semester abroad in one of 120 partner universities across 53 countries: a chance to study, prepare a double degree, or join an international project, depending on career goals.
This openness to the world goes hand in hand with a strong commitment to inclusion, equal opportunities, and diversity. ESTP welcomes and supports all profiles: international students, learners with disabilities, civic or social project leaders… so that each student finds their place, feels respected, and can thrive.

Housing, dining, health, facilities… ESTP ensures that every campus provides the right environment to live, study, and flourish.
Students also share housing tips and opportunities via the TROC ESTP Facebook group.
