Learning at the Heart of Public Works

The Aix-en-Provence campus provides a demanding and professionally oriented academic environment, directly aligned with current infrastructure challenges: ecological transition, low-carbon construction, territorial development, mobility, safety, and site performance.

A Field-Oriented Teaching Approach

  • Courses, projects, case studies, and guest lectures from industry experts, supported by long-standing partnerships with professional laboratories (Cerema, etc.)
  • Project-based learning (both individual and team-based) grounded in real construction-site scenarios
  • Regular exchanges with ECIR and regional partner companies (site visits, participation in conferences and professional forums)

A Vibrant, Engaged, and Inspiring Campus

At the Aix-en-Provence campus, small cohort sizes foster close connections and strong class identity. The apprenticeship rhythm strengthens ties with companies. Apprentices benefit from an environment conducive to focus, exchange, and success.

Student Life and Engagement

  • Key cohort events (welcome sessions, company meetings, conferences)
  • Collective projects, workshops, and educational challenges (Student Union, sports associations, charitable initiatives, etc.)

A Campus at the Heart of a Thriving Ecosystem

The Aix-en-Provence campus is embedded in a dynamic economic and academic environment in the Southern region, close to major infrastructure and development stakeholders. It fosters interaction between:

  • Apprentices
  • Teaching teams
  • Public Works companies and institutional partners

This network stimulates collaborative projects, pedagogical innovation, and lasting professional relationships, particularly through the strategic partnership with ECIR.

The region is highly conducive to employment opportunities, notably in petrochemicals (Etang de Berre area), aerospace (Airbus headquarters), nuclear energy (ITER project in Cadarache), steel industry (ArcelorMittal), and maritime and port works (Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, France’s leading freight port). These sectors require continuous, high-tech territorial development and infrastructure projects.
