This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is meticulously crafted to offer students hands-on training around 3D printing, from architecture to printing: a unique learning
experience at the forefront of modern construction methods.
Reducing greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions in the concrete construction sector is becoming essential. Various levers, such as optimizing concrete specifications and formulations, reducing the carbon footprint of the cement life cycle and innovating in structural design, all contribute to decarbonizing the construction sector.
In this context, 3D printing is an increasingly popular construction technique. This emerging technology can help to reduce construction time and waste, and to innovate in the design of complex structures without using specific molds. In particular, this technology can be used for a variety of construction applications, from small parts to highly specific building components.
With this in mind, this BIP focuses on the environmental benefits of the 3D printing process by optimizing special designs, reducing the quantity of printed materials and using low-carbon printable mortars. To limit the environmental impact of printable mortars, recycled sand, sub-products and mineral additions will be used.
Professors and associate professors surrounded by professionals from the 3D printing concrete field offer their expertise by giving intensive scientific and technical courses.
The programme will focus on the benefits and impact of the 3D printing on the environment, by reducing the quantity of materials printed, using low-carbon inks, and producing special designs.
By participating in this BIP, students are not only getting ready for careers at the forefront of construction technology but are also contributing to the evolution of sustainable and efficient building practices.
3 ECTS
The program is free of charge as it is conducted under the Erasmus+ programme.
Participants from programme countries receive mobility grants from the respective sending university for the physical mobility phase (5-30 days), the amount is based on the applicable Erasmus+ daily allowances for the respective host country.
Students are responsible for their own accommodation, meals, personal expenses and all travel arrangements between their home country and France.
Transfers between Paris and Orléans are covered by ESTP.
Students must provide the following application documents to their Home Institution’s Erasmus Office:
The Erasmus office sends us the applications along with a nomination sheet completed with the name and personal details of all applicants.
Application deadline : February 16, 2026
Students will be selected by the BIP’s academic coordinators based on the following criteria :
Students will be notified of the selection results by February 26th. Selected students will be contacted to start the enrolment process.
