Topography Degree

Course scope

The ESTP Paris one-year vocational degree in “Topography, Roads and Utilities* after a Bac+2 course, developed in partnership with UPEC and Agefa PME, trains middle managers to respond to the requirements of chartered surveyors practices, building and public works companies, and regional authorities. It offers a direct pathway into the workplace.


Career opportunities:

The course provides access to roles such as:

  • Topographer in construction companies or building and public works design offices
  • Assistant topographic surveyor in a chartered surveyors practice
  • Geomatic engineer and topographer in the technical departments of regional authorities or project owners.

COURSE OUTCOMES

At the end of the course, you will be able to produce topographic drawings and plans, plot the route and site of structures, work on design studies (CADD, GIS), take the lead on studies to implement and monitor road and utilities projects (roads, sanitation, distribution and telecommunications networks, street lighting, cycle paths, etc.), and be able to detect all types of underground utility.
