Blended Intensive Programme

What is a Blended Intensive Programme ?

An Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a short, innovative and dynamic educational initiative that combines the benefits of traditional face-to-face learning with the flexibility of online education.

A BIP is designed to enrich the academic experience of students. The virtual component is complemented by carefully curated short-term face-to-face activities, creating a comprehensive learning experience that promotes a sense of community, collaboration, and cultural immersion.

The virtual component must bring the learners together online to work collectively and simultaneously on specific assignments that count towards the overall learning outcome.

The eligibility criteria for the BIP:

  • At least three higher education institutions (HEIs) coming from at least three EU Member States and third countries associated to the Erasmus Programme, including the coordinating institution.
  • A minimum of 10 participants from the partner institutions.
  • Duration of physical mobility: between 5 and 30 days (excluding travel time).
  • Virtual activity: no minimum duration required; No funding.

Should have added value compared to existing courses or trainings offered by the participating HEIs and can be multiannual.
