CACHAN

The Cachan library is located at the far end of the campus, in the wood pavilion. The reading room seats approximately 100 people over two levels, with a total surface area of 300 m².


DOCUMENT COLLECTIONS

Fields covered

The basic subjects of construction, architecture, urban planning and infrastructures: all stages of building construction, artworks, etc.
All other disciplines studied at the school or in which students are expected to develop skills: fundamental sciences, computer sciences, law, administration, management, foreign languages, humanities, economy, etc.


Nature of the collection

  • Monographs (technique, culture, science, etc.): 10,000 references all campuses combined
  • Technical encyclopaedias
  • Periodicals (daily, weekly, monthly, in French and international): 60 titles all campuses combined
  • Class handouts: 700 titles
  • TFE (end-of-studies works): 260 titles
  • PIER (Industrial entrepreneurial and research projects): 200 titles
  • DVDs of films in original versions with subtitles (English, German, Spanish) and documentaries: 400 titles
  • Language methods to prepare for the TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE, IELTS, GMAT tests
     

New! Since the Troyes campus opened in September 2017, a documentary collection comprised of around one hundred technical works, around ten titles of journals and publications in French and English are available to student engineers enrolled in a course on the campus. This collection is regularly added to and references in our shared catalogue with Arts et Métiers, and is used alongside the databases available online with a view to providing the vital information necessary for our students to successfully complete their studies.


ACCESS CONDITIONS

All ESTP Paris and ESITC students and teachers can benefit from the services offered by the Documentation Centre upon presentation of their student card. Former students are also granted access to the document collection and may peruse documents on-site or borrow them. Contact us for more information.

External individuals conducting research in the field of building and public works may also peruse our documents on appointment only.

The Documentation Centre is subscribed to many digital resources which may be accessed from the doc.estp.fr website through a secure connection.
