As a middle manager, a site manager coordinates site work and is involved at every stage of the project. The disciplines involved require sound technical knowledge, as well as the excellent organisational and people skills required to manage teams.

Legal, administrative, commercial and financial skills are also required to monitor a project and ensure that it runs smoothly.

Site managers are the interface between the various stakeholders involved in a building project (design offices, architects, companies and subcontractors). They act as orchestral conductors.

Site manager roles:

  • In the building industry: construction and renovation of living, work and leisure premises (housing, schools, offices, etc.)
  • In public works: creating a wide variety of infrastructures for public authorities (street lighting, roads, drainage, railways, subway systems, tram networks, etc.) and civil engineering structures (bridges, dams and airports, etc.).

You will be equipped to plan, organise and monitor construction, fitting out or installations in buildings and infrastructures. You will support one or more teams of technicians, labourers or journeymen.


Employment in the public works sector

Creating a wide variety of infrastructures for public authorities (street lighting, roads, drainage, railways, subway systems, tram networks, etc.) engineering and civil engineering structures such as bridges, dams and airport runways.

Employment in the building industry

  • Working on the construction, operation and renovation of living, work and leisure premises (housing, schools, offices, etc.)
  • New roles are emerging to meet the needs of sustainable and responsible construction. 
     

This course, accredited by the French CNESER (Conseil National de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche), leads to a Degree recognized by the French government.
